Explanation

So I need to explain what happened on the last blog. I had a friend who wanted to know about blogging. I was trying to show her how easy it was. So I just grabbed a cute picture and typed some words not worrying about my spelling. My plan was to delete it all the next chance I got, but I have such loyal readers who have already made comments about the blog, so now I can't delete it. Especially since Sandy chose to tell a nice, sweet story and not make fun of my mistakes. Love you C- :)

What 50 and 24 Looks Like

What a good looking guy! He doesn't look like he's 50 years old. He looks great and he is doing great. He will be able to keep going for another 50 years. N- is doing his impression of Poppa. It's a pretty good one too! We sure love our N- we are glad he got born 24 years ago so he could be part of our family and help us have fun. The more the merrier! It was so fun to have the family party at our house. The kids played ping-pong, dance-dance, guitar hero and bocker ball. There were a lot of laughs. The funny thing about the bocker ball is that the tray that catches the balls was broken off from one of the sides but the kids didn't let that stop them. They just had someone catch the balls as they come out of the hole and hand them the balls. It was as exciting as ever.

I Love Myself

Well I think I am a pretty cool person. So I just had this poster made of myself and then I made some lips to tape allover my picture just to represent how much everyone loves me. I think I should get a frame and hang this picture over our fireplace.

We Love Our Grandson!

E-is so cute! Look how strong he is.
We had a visit up to Logan the day after Valentines day. It was really fun to get to visit the kids. L- and K- were going to babysit E-so that P-and C- could go to their stake dinner dance.

Life At School

I haven't said too much about school so I thought it might be fun to show my latest bulletin board. This project was a lot of fun for the children to do. We went outside and gathered some sand from the big toy area. We glued the sand like glitter to the paper by painting the thinned glue onto the paper and then dumping the sand on top of it and then pouring the sand off. When that dried the kids painted the water with blue water colors.
I had some little shells we had gathered from Bear Lake that I let the kids glue to there beaches and then I gave goldfish to the kids for a snack, but I told them to save at least two for their pictures. But I left it up to them to decide how many they wanted to save. Some poor kids went a head and ate all of theirs. Then they had to sweat it out whether their pictures would have no fish in them. But I'm a softy and I gave them 2 more goldfish. That would be sad to not have any fish in your picture.

So these cute girls have started a new game outside that none of my previous students have ever played. You know how in the movie Castaway, Tom Hanks has a volleyball for a friend and he calls it "Wilson" because that is the brand of volleyball. Well these girls have been taking this ball out to play with as their dog and they have been calling it "Feeman." Then when they come in from recess they give me reports on how Feeman is doing. The other day they came in and told me, "Teacher, somebody kicked Feeman!" It sounds horrible, but really Feeman is a kickball. They tell me all kinds of stuff about their adventures with Feeman and when they carry the ball around they carry it with the name forward like this. I didn't tell them to hold the ball like this for their picture they just do it.
Today the girls didn't take the ball out at recess I noticed, but then one of the girls came racing back in and said, "I got all the way out there without Feeman" They came in from recess and told me that Feeman has a nickname. It's JuLee. They make me smile. I can't wait to hear what they come up with next.

I wanted to get a picture on here showing how much snow we have had lately. I am afraid this is not the all that we had. It started to melt a little before I took this picture. Last night we went up to Mom and Dad's. They have so much snow up there you really can't see the houses from the road. You can see mostly the roofs of the houses. It is really weird. Today the sun is shining and it is really pretty and the snow is finally melting nicely.
